ABOUT US
Villa Shewlin is a highland resort facility located at an altitude of 1,100 meters, in the flower town of Karuizawa Prince Land, at the foot of Mount Asama.
The cottages consist of 10 separate units: Suites for 2 people, family log houses for 4-6 people, group cottages for 5-6 people, and executive log houses for 6-8 people. Each cottage is a standalone unit. All cottages are equipped with a kitchen, bathroom and toilet. In addition to bedding and furniture, they are generally furnished with everything necessary for a resort stay (please bring toiletries, towels, and pajamas). Free WIFI is available in each cottage, making 'Remote Work from Resort Home' possible!
The kitchens are equipped with cooking utensils, tableware and basic seasonings. If you procure ingredients at a nearby supermarket (10 minutes by car), you can also cook for yourself. You can even enjoy BBQ on rainy days as each cottage has a covered veranda or garden (with a free tarp).
Located in Asama Kogen, where the altitude is higher and the humidity is lower than in the town of Karuizawa, you can experience a summer without the need for air conditioning. Come and enjoy it!

Need a place to enjoy a leisurely vacation or work in a quiet space? There is a coffee shop on the resort, which can satisfy your needs in a comfortable environment. Drinks and meals are on the menu, we hope you can fully enjoy your vacation here
SPA
Each villa has its own bathroom, but we also have a private cypress bath for 2-3 people. Enjoy relaxing music while you use the hot tub. Only 1 group at a time! Please book in advance.
BBQ
When traveling with family or friends, you don't have to worry about what to cook. The resort provides a BBQ equipment rental service. Free rental for two consecutive nights or more!
Free Wifi
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout all cottages, so you can stay connected to the internet at all times.
